The Best Gloves for your Winter Photography 2025

The Best Gloves for Winter Photography [Glove Guide Season 2025/26]

Our collection of Photography Gloves is carefully designed to include a glove solution for every winter condition, allowing you to continue shooting all winter long.

With all the options, from Style, to Functionality, to Warmth, we are here to assist you in choosing the best photography gloves for your winter photography.

Consider these Three Things:

When choosing the best gloves for your winter photography you need to consider these Three factors:

  • WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

This is the obvious. Will you be in Arctic or in the UK? All of our gloves come with a general season rating (Arctic winter, Deep winter, Mid-winter, Mild winter, and Light winter), so start by selecting a winter rating depending on where you will be. Consider wind chill and humidity too, how cold will it feel?

  • WHAT ARE YOU SHOOTING?

Does your photography require you to sit still for long periods of time e.g. waiting for the light with landscape photography, or are you actively running or moving in order to get your shot?

This is the less obvious factor, which is often overlooked. Think about how much clothing you will need to wear. If you need many layers for your body, you probably need to layer up your gloves too. And vice versa; if you are going to be very active and taking off layers, perhaps you don't need a heavy duty glove.

  • DO YOU STAY WARM OR GET COLD EASILY?

We all have different tolerances to the warm and cold. Some people get cold faster and feel colder in warmer temperatures. Do you live in Florida and travelling to Iceland? You may be more susceptible to the cold than someone who lives in Northern Europe.

Combined, these three factors will determine more than anything which gloves are going to be the best for you.

You may find that you chose a Mid-winter glove to start with, and by asking the next 2 questions you have moved to a Deep winter glove.

From here you can move onto the options within that Winter Rating.

Or, you can Take our Glove Quiz and receive a personalized recommendation:

In a Hurry? Here Is A Quick Glove Overview:

Thanks for the idea, Nigel! I’ll pass this along to our product development team.

With a subtle change to the design of these excellent gloves, I think you could open up the market to drone operators. Being able to fold back the middle finger as well as thumb and forefinger would be perfect for drone controllers.

I believe that you need to write more on this subject matter, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people don’t speak about these topics. To the next! Cheers!!

Hi Joshua. Thanks for your comment! We have come a long way since our first pair of gloves but we appreciate the feedback anyway. Thanks for the ideas, we’ll get busy designing!

I’m in agreement with Mike. I’ve got your first round gloves and they’ve been great for day to day but having just come back from a trip to Iceland I realized that i needed something that could both protect against the blasts of the rain and waterfalls as well as something that could pull the moisture from my hands during those long hikes to get shots. I settled on 2 sets of gloves but would have loved a wicking base layer and an insulated and waterproof outer layer both with the ability to grip and with finger holds.
