Welcome to the first of a new series where we get our shooters to provide actionable tips for ski and snowboard photography. This week on ‘Tuesday Shooter Tips’, Rickard Croy helps out with focusing when your auto focus is missing the beat.
“If your having trouble getting your images sharply in focus, try the manual focus technique. See where the rider is going to be at the point you want to take the picture. Zoom in to that spot digitally with the live view on the back of the camera and get your focus super sharp. Remember to switch to manual focus so the camera can’t refocus, now wait for the perfect moment to pull the trigger comfortably knowing your focus will be on point.”
