"Absolutely stunning gloves for deep winter. The gauntlet cuffs are very long and roomy so they protect your wrists well with no issues to drag it over your jacket sleeves. Top shelf product!"

The above sizes should enable you the best camera feel without compromising on warmth.
As we learn more and more about gloves we also learn that all hands are different. Some people have long skinny fingers and slim wrists, others have wide hands with short fingers.
Our gloves wont fit all even with the right measurements from the sizing chart – but we try!
For many, the best option will be to go up a size if your measurements are in between sizes.
If you are between sizes or if your hands do not fit into the measurements on our sizing chart, we recommend prioritizing the fit for the girth measurement. The girth is the most important measurement and if the girth size on the glove is too small, you won't be able to fit the glove.
If you’re considering pairing a liner glove with your photography gloves, we recommend choosing the same size liner as photography glove. We designed our liners to be thin and fit inside of our photography gloves so we recommend your normal size in liners. There are two exceptions to this:
Exception #1: If you are at the very end of the ratio size in the sizing chart, e.g. 1 mm from being a size Large, then we advise going up a glove size if you plan to often wear the liner with the gloves.
Exception #2: If your personal preference is to wear fairly loose gloves, then you should also go up a size when adding a liner. We don't recommend this as you will compromise dexterity with loose gloves and our priority is best possible camera feel. But you know best what you like!
House tip: Make sure to choose a liner size that is snug/tight on your hand for the best Fliptech performance when wearing liners and gloves together.

Overmitt Design for Ultimate Insulation
The Alta Arctic Mitt is designed to be worn over a base glove (we recommend Tinden or Markhof Pro V3) for maximum warmth and protection against freezing temperatures, icy winds, and snow. The Alta Arctic Mitt glove is large in volume, most likely the biggest gloves you've ever owned. But it's all for a reason. It acts like a warm sleeping bag for your hands when you need it the most.
Inspired by the Vallerret founders’ days of dog mushing in the Arctic, you too can stay toasty warm in the harshest of winter environments, and continue capturing your images.
Convenient Glove Harness
The super convenient Glove harness allows you to secure your Alta Arctic Mitts behind your back or let them hang loose when you don't need them. With the Glove Harness, you can keep your gloves secure but still within immediate reach, ready to face challenging Arctic conditions.
Carabiner Clip to Keep Things Tidy
Embrace convenience during your Arctic photography expeditions with the Alta Arctic Mitt Photography Glove's carabiner clip. Attach the gloves to each other, to your camera bag, backpack, or belt loop, ensuring easy accessibility whenever you require quick protection or warmth.
FlipTech Thumb & FlipTech Mitt Cap
Maintain control over your camera with the FlipTech Thumb & FlipTech Mitt Cap. Flip back your thumb cap or zip open the Mitt Cap to expose your finger glove if needed, providing full access to your camera controls and dials.
Designed for: Arctic Winter Conditions

Alta Arctic Mitts include a carabiner clip and a Glove Harness to keep the Alta's around your hips and out of the way when not needed.
Never worn a glove harness? Buddy, you are in for a treat! Just drop your gloves and let them hang or tug them behind your back without worrying about loosing them.
Warm photographic mittens, the Alta Arctic Mitt are warm mittens designed for photography. A key advantage is the opening system; however, in my opinion, the zipper endings are too short and slippery, making them difficult to grasp while wearing gloves. I recommend them for freezing conditions.
Thanks for your review and feedback on the Alta Arctic Mitt. We will take your suggestions in consideration for future designs. Enjoy your gloves and happy shooting :)
I decided to "upgrade" to the Alta Mitt before a trip to Yellowstone. Just like the ad states, they are like a sleeping bag for your hands. They were very warm, even on subzero days. I wish I would have bought these years ago.
Thanks for your feedback! We're so glad the Alta Arctic Mitt kept you warm on your Yellowstone trip. Enjoy your gloves and happy snapping!

Alta Arctic Mitt Photography Glove
Great mitt for cold weather photography
Thanks for your review of the Alta Arctic Mitt! Enjoy your Mitt and happy snapping :)
These gloves are exactly what I needed. I love my Markhof Pro V3, which fit perfectly and always keep my hands warm, but when shooting street photography, I often use my phone— and that’s where the Djuke gloves take things to perfection. I was shooting in Prague on chilly mornings with temperatures around -2°C, and even though they are designed for mild winter, my hands never felt cold.
Their main advantage is that they are so thin that you often don’t even need to use the finger cap removal feature, as you can operate many camera functions while wearing them. And the best part? Although it’s advertised that only the thumb and index finger have a touchscreen-compatible layer, on my iPhone, every single finger works! 😊 And it works flawlessly. Since I use my phone a lot while moving around the city, this is the best feature for me!
Warm and comfortable
Finally socks that keep my feet warm. I have cold feet very fast. These socks really make a difference for me. They are also comfortable and soft. No itchy feeling or what so ever.
