The above sizes should enable you the best camera feel without compromising on warmth.
As we learn more and more about gloves we also learn that all hands are different. Some people have long skinny fingers and slim wrists, others have wide hands with short fingers.
Our gloves wont fit all even with the right measurements from the sizing chart – but we try!
For many, the best option will be to go up a size if your measurements are in between sizes.
If you are between sizes or if your hands do not fit into the measurements on our sizing chart, we recommend prioritizing the fit for the girth measurement. The girth is the most important measurement and if the girth size on the glove is too small, you won't be able to fit the glove.
If you’re considering pairing a liner glove with your photography gloves, we recommend choosing the same size liner as photography glove. We designed our liners to be thin and fit inside of our photography gloves so we recommend your normal size in liners. There are two exceptions to this:
Exception #1: If you are at the very end of the ratio size in the sizing chart, e.g. 1 mm from being a size Large, then we advise going up a glove size if you plan to often wear the liner with the gloves.
Exception #2: If your personal preference is to wear fairly loose gloves, then you should also go up a size when adding a liner. We don't recommend this as you will compromise dexterity with loose gloves and our priority is best possible camera feel. But you know best what you like!
House tip: Make sure to choose a liner size that is snug/tight on your hand for the best Fliptech performance when wearing liners and gloves together.

Thank you for your glowing review of our Hatchet Photography Gloves! Thank you for choosing our brand and happy shooting!
I've had these gloves for roughly a month at the time of writing this review. Good quality and fits well. However due to no fault of the gloves themselves they aren't warm enough at times. That's mainly my fault, as I have bad blood circulation in my fingers, and it's tough getting them to stay warm.
In the future I'm definitely going to look into the mittens Vallerret sells as the quality of this pair has convinced me to shop here again. For now I'll use this pair and maybe get a heated glove liner to hold me over until next winter.
Hi Corban, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the gloves aren't keeping you warm enough. We recommend to add a Liner underneath, like the Power Stretch Pro Liner with Touch, as a first layer for a couple of degrees of extra warmth.
Comfortable, warm and stylish, love them.
Thanks for your review! We're glad you're enjoying the Hatchet gloves. Stay warm and happy shooting :)
I love using these for winter photography. My hands were warm and comfortable from the range of about 10-35°F temperatures that I use them in. I typically go on a hike for about 2-3 hours and I was able to use my photography gear no problem while on my hikes.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review for our Hatchet Photography Gloves. We are so glad to hear that they kept your hands warm and comfortable during your winter photography adventures. Happy snapping!
I found them average at best. These gloves are too tight in the fingers ( yes, I measured b4 purchase). There is no air space which is key to retaining warmth. Also, when folded back to operate camera controls, I find them bulky and inconvenient. Prob just use them as work gloves around the house because they are solidly made. Honestly, I bought some $18 gloves at BJ’s that keep my hands warmer.
Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the gloves did not keep your hands warm. Please check your inbox for an email from us :)
Warm and comfortable
Finally socks that keep my feet warm. I have cold feet very fast. These socks really make a difference for me. They are also comfortable and soft. No itchy feeling or what so ever.
I used the gloves on a trip to Norway and they were super comfortable to wear. I ve put some hand warmers in the small pockets to get even more warmth to my fingers. The system with the zipper worked very well for me giving me the freedom that I need to take photos without frozen hands.
