Start Here: Ask Yourself these 3 Questions:
1. EXPECTED CONDITIONS: WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
Will you be in Arctic or in the UK? Every Vallerret glove has a Winter Condition Rating: Light Winter, Mild Winter, Mid-Winter, Deep Winter or Arctic Winter.
Start by considering the expected temperature, but don't stop there. Consider wind chill, humidity and time spent outside too, how cold will it feel?
2. HOW ACTIVE WILL YOU BE?
This is often the overlooked factor. Will you be standing still for hours waiting for the perfect light, or hiking, skiing and moving constantly between shots?
The less you move, the more warmth you'll generally need. Think about your clothing too: if you're layering up your body to stay warm, you may want more insulation on your hands as well. If you're highly active, a lighter glove may be all you need
3. DO YOU GET COLD EASILY?
We all have different tolerances to the warm and cold. Some people naturally run warmer than others. Factor this in when choosing your glove.

For example, you might initially think a Mid-Winter glove is right for you based on where you are going. But if you'll be sitting still for several hours and tend to get cold easily, you may be better off stepping up to a Deep Winter option.
