I have tried two versions of the Markhof gloves and they only worked around 32° for me, a 75 year old photographer who tries to photograph several times a week during the winter. A liner did help to add some warmth. This winter I decided to give the Skadi Mitts a try and I did get to try them in 5-20° weather. I was able to shoot for an hour each session without freezing fingers! They take some getting used to and I would like to see the zipper portion open more plus bigger thumbholes. I'm happy to be prepared for next winter!

At last I was able to find mittens that are easy to open without removing and keep my hands warm. Every little detail is thought out completely. Way to go!

Außenhandschuhe sind sehr gut, durchdacht und funktionell. Innenhandschuhe sind an der Kleineingerseite zu kurz. Deshalb ist der Handschuh schräg und faltig, was nicht schön ist.

I used the gloves on a trip to Norway and they were super comfortable to wear. I ve put some hand warmers in the small pockets to get even more warmth to my fingers. The system with the zipper worked very well for me giving me the freedom that I need to take photos without frozen hands.
