It’s 2020! Welcome to the new year and the next decade. The beginning of the new year is always a great time for goal setting and reflecting and as our ongoing goal to provide our winter photographer community with the best gloves to keep them shooting during the coldest months, we couldn’t wait to share with you a little project we’ve been working on from behind the scenes.

Introducing the Power Stretch Pro Liner with Touch!

Polartec Power Stretch Pro Liner

As we continuously try to grow and innovate, we are always looking for better ways to keep winter photographers warm. We spend countless hours testing and together with customer feedback we revise and test our products again and again making sure you get the best glove for your winter photography.

We were recently introduced to the Polartec Power Stretch Pro, a revolutionary fabric from Polartec and we were so impressed with the fabric we couldn’t wait to add it to our lineup. Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro™ has reinforced elastic fibres creating 4-way stretch that meets the demanding push and pull of activity. This agile, dual-surface fabric absorbs moisture from the skin while continuously wicking it to the outer layer for fast evaporation.

Polartec Power Stretch Pro Liner Glove

We found the fabric to be just what we were looking for: a durable and resilient fabric that wicks moisture and retains warmth. Because our liner is designed to fit under our photography gloves, we also needed a fabric that was ultra-thin and would cause little to no friction while sliding the liner into the glove. The Polartec Power Stretch Pro was the perfect combination

Why You Should Use a Liner Glove

This glove can be purchased on its own as an additional layer for our other photography gloves. Layering with a liner glove is a great way to extend the temperature range for your current photography glove. For example, the Markhof Pro 2.0 may start to feel cold to you at a certain temperature but if you have the Power Stretch Pro Liner in your arsenal, you can stay warmer for longer, even if the temps drop a few more degrees.

You can layer your hands just like you'd layer your body. If you start to feel cold, just chuck on another layer and you're good to go!

The Power Stretch Pro in the Skadi

The Power Stretch Pro Liner will also be featured in our beloved Skadi PSP Mitt. The Skadi PSP Mitt is the ultimate glove for versatility. It can be worn on its own or with the included Power Stretch Pro liner for additional warmth. The Skadi's Power Stretch Pro Liner features softshell wind protection on the back of the fingers to give you extra protection from the elements. Like the Power Strech Pro Liner, the Skadi PSP liner is also touch screen compatible.

We are so excited to introduce this new staple to our Vallerret community and we can't wait to hear what you think about the updates! You can check out the Power Strech Pro Liner here and the Skadi PSP Photography Mitt here.
