The above sizes should enable you the best camera feel without compromising on warmth.
As we learn more and more about gloves we also learn that all hands are different. Some people have long skinny fingers and slim wrists, others have wide hands with short fingers.
Our gloves wont fit all even with the right measurements from the sizing chart – but we try!
For many, the best option will be to go up a size if your measurements are in between sizes.
If you are between sizes or if your hands do not fit into the measurements on our sizing chart, we recommend prioritizing the fit for the girth measurement. The girth is the most important measurement and if the girth size on the glove is too small, you won't be able to fit the glove.
If you’re considering pairing a liner glove with your photography gloves, we recommend choosing the same size liner as photography glove. We designed our liners to be thin and fit inside of our photography gloves so we recommend your normal size in liners. There are two exceptions to this:
Exception #1: If you are at the very end of the ratio size in the sizing chart, e.g. 1 mm from being a size Large, then we advise going up a glove size if you plan to often wear the liner with the gloves.
Exception #2: If your personal preference is to wear fairly loose gloves, then you should also go up a size when adding a liner. We don't recommend this as you will compromise dexterity with loose gloves and our priority is best possible camera feel. But you know best what you like!
House tip: Make sure to choose a liner size that is snug/tight on your hand for the best Fliptech performance when wearing liners and gloves together.

Warm and comfortable
Tested during a photo shoot & walk. First thoughts: They are thicker than I am usually used to and feel warmer from the first moment. Circumstances: Dutch nature, temperature around zero that felt below zero. During the photoshoot I stood still for a long time in swampy grassland. Conclusion: a great addition to my packinglist in winter for photography activities and wintersport walks. Cold feet belong to past.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Merino Wool Crew Socks. We are so happy to hear that they kept your feet warm during your photo shoot and walk in nature. We hope you continue to enjoy them on your future photography and winter sport activities. Stay warm and happy shooting!
Vallerret Merino Wool Crew Socks are generally warm and comfortable, ideal for photographers spending a lot of time outdoors in cold weather. Unfortunately, these socks tend to pill excessively, which may affect their appearance and durability over long-term use. Their thermoregulating properties and wearing comfort make them a worthwhile option for winter photography enthusiasts.
Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear the Merino Wool Crew Socks are pilling. This can be a result from tumble drying. We recommend to wash the socks on a gentle cycle, you can also use a fine mesh laundry bag to preserve the quality, and hang them to dry. Feel free to reach out to us at support@photographygloves.com for any other questions :)
These socks are the best! They are really thick and feel really high quality but most importantly they are actually really warm! I tried them on various hikes so far and they manage to keep my usually icy feet nice and toasty!
Thanks for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that our Merino Wool Crew Socks have kept your feet warm on your hikes. We hope you continue to enjoy wearing them on your future adventures!
Merino Wool Crew Sock
Warm and comfortable
Finally socks that keep my feet warm. I have cold feet very fast. These socks really make a difference for me. They are also comfortable and soft. No itchy feeling or what so ever.
I used the gloves on a trip to Norway and they were super comfortable to wear. I ve put some hand warmers in the small pockets to get even more warmth to my fingers. The system with the zipper worked very well for me giving me the freedom that I need to take photos without frozen hands.
