TST: SHOOT THE “STARS”

To get photos published its often about shooting the right person and not just taking the best picture. Sad but true.

Obviously, the picture has to be great as well, but I have better pictures that haven’t been published compared to the pics that made it to print, partly because the person was well known. So take a leap and reach out by befriending, ringing, emailing, whichever way you can, get in touch with and ultimately shoot someone in the spotlight.

In saying that, once you get the contact then take your A game. You will still have to do your very best even if the person you shoot is famous. Cause once that photo is published it’s your name on it and you will be judged by that picture, not the hand full of other pictures stored on your hard drive that you reckon is better.

I like that tip from Rickard, reaching out to increase your photography and exposure. It compliments last weeks’ tip about being around people that can lift your game and better your photography.
