“My hands are faaaarking cold!!! …but look at this shot” is probably the most used sentence for winter-loving photographers during winter. The adventure and the results outweigh the pain. A little frost bite wont kill you and you’ve locked in some sweet frames on your SD card.
In spite of “cool war marks”… at Vallerret we thought that taking away the frost bite bit would be a nice adjustment to our winter. (Stay tuned here on the blog for updates on glove manufacturing progress)
At Vallerret we celebrate the ambition behind every single photo mission and encourage the adventure. If you want it, make it happen. In life as well as with photography. You probably have a particular shot in mind that you would like to go shoot, but just haven’t gotten around to for some reason.
Team Shooters Carl van den Boom and Lukas Riedl had that particular shot in mind this winter. Being in the Arctic will inspire just about any photographer to chase the northern lights. Carl and Lukas wanted a shot of a snowboarder in motion with the northern lights in the background. Faced with shutter speed dilemmas and hours of waiting for the green lights – they succeeded. Good on ya fellas!
