When working with video the number one time waster is searching through endless hours of unnamed video clips piled up and dumped on your disks, coz’ you know those videos are there, but where did you put them?

If you really want to speed up your video editing, this isn’t a take-a-pill fix — it’s a do-the-work-straight-away trick.

Make sure you sort all of your clips from the day a soon as you import it to your hard drives. Be disciplined! Collecting video material over days can easily bring you a massive collection of hundreds of gigabytes that can quickly escalate into an unbearable burden to overview and categorize. We have all done the, “I’ll sort them later” but that joy of creating your masterpiece, viewing your work and sharing the end result can easily be turned into a long nightmare project, or worse, not get finished.

Conclusion: Stay disciplined and you will not only be editing way quicker but also enjoying it way more!
