Nordic Warmth for Highland Hands

Since receiving my women’s Nordic Photography Gloves, my below zero endurance for outdoor photography has increased enabling me to keep shooting for longer in wild and inhospitable locations. The gloves are not only warm but stylish, well fitting, comfortable and offer superb grip and are now an essential part of my winter photography kit. Thank you Vallerret!

Well designed gloves for women

Impressed with how quickly they were delivered. Very good quality - look like they will last. I like the non slip palm fabric. The guide to hand measurement was very helpful. I chose the style for women to get a slimmer palm fit which was perfect but as I have long fingers, I would have liked another couple of mm in that direction. Just nit-picking really as they are overall a really good fit for me.

Great gloves for small hands!

Love these gloves!
I have very small hands and I've been looking for ages for a pair of photography gloves that didn't make me look and feel like Edward Scissorhands. This is the first style I've found that come in XS size and not only did they fit, they were even a bit snug!

They loosened nicely after a few wears though and I can still fit a pair of merino liners underneath, so I'd say that the size guide is spot on.

When I first unpacked them my heart sank though, as I thought that the layer of the grippy palm print was peeling away. However on looking closer and checking the photos on the website I realised that was the pattern style! D'oh! (Not sure I'm too keen on that aspect though; it does look a bit shabby at first glance. )

As a few other reviews have mentioned, I found that initially it was a bit of a struggle to make the magnets stick properly to keep the finger and thumb flipped back, but again, this loosened up once I'd worn them a few times and they tend to stick open properly now.

All in all a great glove, perfect for small hands, and they keep my hands nice and toasty when I'm out with my camera. I also wear them when I'm just out for a walk; they don't look too 'clunky' and I find it's handy to be able to check my phone without having to remove my gloves.

Please note, our gloves are designed to fit snuggly to give you the best camera feel without compromising on warmth. If you prefer a looser fit, please consider to go a size up.

As we learn more and more about gloves we also learn that all hands are different. Some people have long skinny fingers and slim wrists, others have wide hands with short fingers.

Our gloves wont fit all even with the right measurements from the sizing chart – but we try!

What size should I get if I'm between sizes?

For many, the best option will be to go up a size if your measurements are in between sizes.

If you are between sizes or if your hands do not fit into the measurements on our sizing chart, we recommend prioritizing the fit for the girth measurement. The girth is the most important measurement and if the girth size on the glove is too small, you won't be able to fit the glove.

Should I size up for my liner glove?

If you’re considering pairing a liner glove with your photography gloves, we recommend choosing the same size liner as photography glove. We designed our liners to be thin and fit inside of our photography gloves so we recommend your normal size in liners. There are two exceptions to this:

Exception #1: If you are at the very end of the ratio size in the sizing chart, e.g. 1 mm from being a size Large, then we advise going up a glove size if you plan to often wear the liner with the gloves.

Exception #2: If your personal preference is to wear fairly loose gloves, then you should also go up a size when adding a liner. We don't recommend this as you will compromise dexterity with loose gloves and our priority is best possible camera feel. But you know best what you like!

House tip: Make sure to choose a liner size that is snug/tight on your hand for the best Fliptech performance when wearing liners and gloves together.
